BUFFET - Worst of Credit Crisis is OVER

As hinted in a previous post penned on 4/28/08 ('Market Quotes - Buffet on the Fed + BSC'), WARREN BUFFETT, the WORLD's RICHEST MAN and CEO of conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway, now officially believes the worst of the current U.S. credit crisis is OVER.

He made the following statements to Bloomberg on Saturday, 5/03/08, in a television interview prior to Berkshire Hathaway's (BRK.A or BRK.B) annual meeting in Omaha, Nebraska:

Buffet interview Quotes:

"The worst of the crisis in Wall Street is over"

"In terms of people with individual mortgages, there's a lot of pain left to come.''

"The worry was that there would be contagion; it was a very real worry...If Bear Stearns (the artist formerly known as BSC) had gone, the next day, somebody else would have gone. It could've been a very, very, very chaotic situation.''
